CNY: Jakarta Trip

As per our previous plan, we celebrated our lunar new year this year in Jakarta since most of my relatives are living in Jakarta.

Our first and second nite, we stayed at Le Grendeur since it is the nearest hotel to ITC Mangga Dua. I had a pedicure cost $8 only. I provide myself the rhinestones and ask the pedicurist to put on.

No Josh in this picture, he was sleeping.

Josh was on tummy. Look at his smile. We stay at Mercure Ancol for 1 nite.

The view from our room balcony.

On our last nite, we stayed at hotel Novotel. I wanted to have a spa, but afraid that Josh will look for me for milk. In the end, I only can snap this picture.

Look at their spacious swimming pool. I only can swim 4 laps before I was breathless.

Align Center

Josh first time flight experience. He only fuss on the flight back to Singapore since he wanted to sleep. On the flight to Jakarta, he slept soundly without fussy at all.

Josh in the Jumperoo

Link When Mommy works full time, the only thing that she can do to repay the time that she should spend to her kids are TOYS. Another new toy for Josh. Josh can play inside this jumperoo while my helper need to prepare his foods/housework.

Some Self Photo Taking

I tried out some ideas of taking photo in the hotel during my last assignment in Chennai, India last year. This was my last overseas assignment in Year 2008. In fact, I had conceived Josh during this trip. Sam commented that the first food that Josh took was Indian curry. Ha...he was wrong, I actually ate Nasi Briyani and lamb. One of my favorite dishes in India.

This camera has been with me for more than 2 years. One of my favorite camera, light weight, sleek, stylish. Image quality also never let me down. The camera was self taking photo itself. :)

I self taking photo myself by putting the camera on the bed. It need a few trial of errors.

Finally, I took a photo of my permed hair since I just had a hair wash and couldn't see how was the curl and curve of my hair from the back.

Ouch...

Yesterday nite, Josh bit my nipple again. He cried at midnite and I thought that he wanted to nurse but then he bit. He cried again and I tried again, bit again. Ouch...he bit twice. Lucky, my nipple was not cracked or cut. You may be puzzling why there is no cut on the nipple which just been bitten. The secret is everytime you offer your breast, offer full breast and don't ever leave your nipple without areola into baby's mouth.

Reflection In Year 2008 & 2007

I forgot to post my reflection in Year 2007. The things that I would not forget forever in that year was being baptised.

In the year of 2008, I would like to thank God to bless me with HIS precious gift of Joshua.

I don't favour to write a resolution. I am a perfectionist. I will feel pressurize if I can't achieve my resolution. I know that I do not need to worry about everything since God will work with me. He will guide me. I remembered an illustration in a bookmark, where a child is walking together with God at the beach. Initially there were two pairs of footprints. Suddenly the child looked back and only saw a pair of footprints. He asked, God, I know you are walking with me, but where is your foot prints? God answered, you can't see my foot print because when you are in danger, I am carrying you.

On the new year eve, Josh fall sick. Hope that Josh will recover soon.

In addition, I don't have a supportive hubby to support me for breastfeeding. When Josh fall sick, he mentioned that my breast milk is no longer useful. It would be better if I stop breastfeeding. I will not hear his suggestion. I know that I have a definite reason to be persistent to breastfeed Josh to-date; despite of having cracked nipples, sore nipples, mastitis, feverish, etc. I hope all the breastfeeding blues was over.
