December

We are reaching the end of December.
If you only have ONE joyful occasion in December, I have THREE.
They are:
1. 2nd Dec: My Birthday
2. 25th Dec: Christmas Day - I believe to-date non only Christian celebrates this special day.
3. 29th Dec: Our wedding anniversary. We celebrated our 7th anniversary yesterday.

What did Josh do for the first time today?

This afternoon, I tried to feed solid to Josh for the first time. He is exactly 6 months 1 day. I chose today since it was Public Holiday (25 Dec, Christmas Day) then I could feed him solid myself and examined his reaction.

First few scoops he swallowed the cereal peacefully.
Afterward, his hand started to grab the bowl.

And...his hands started to grab the spoon. Another thing that Josh did for the first time is sitting in the stroller. He looks so small in the stroller.

Christmas Gift for Myself

I bought these for myself. 88 palette of eye shadow from Coastal Scents. Ha...I think I can not use up all the color.


A pair of Clark shoes I shipped directly from Amazon. The shoes is so comfy. I am browsing for another pair. Anybody interested? We can share the shipping cost.


Cereal for Joshua

Since I ordered my stuff, I also ordered Happybellies cereal for Josh. Anybody want to let your kids try? I can share a few cans with you.

My Birthday

I am exactly 30 today. Der sang Happy Birthday song for me. Instead of singing Happy Birthday to Mommy, he sang Happy Birthday to L**a (my name). All of us were laughing at him. But he kept singing like that.

Today, he kept repeating to wish me Happy Birthday Mommy. I asked him, why did you keep saying that? Do you still want to eat the cake? He only gave me his sweet smile and answered, "I want to make Mommy happy." He start to know how to please his Mommy.

Oh...I need 20 days to upload these photos. The PC that I use at home can't be connected to internet at all. I borrow Sam's laptop to update this blog and don't know what kind of software that he installed, the picture uploaded is so blur. I found other software in his laptop today, hopefully the pictures are quite clear.

We went to Ah Yatt Abalone to celebrate my birthday and brought Derick to Fidgets again. I can relax myself reading magazine there.

My only Birthday Card from church. This is the first time I received birthday card from church since I became a member. I like the number 30 pasted on the card. Wondering next year I will get the number 31 pasted on the card as well?

Brought Josh Out This Morning

I brought Josh to 3 places this morning within 3 hours. Damn tiring. I can't bring him alone out. I am not capable at all. Once I carried him home from MRT, the next day, my whole body and arm ached. I am quite appreciate that I have a nice helper.

Maybe you will query where I brought him too. If I can go myself I will go myself. I brought Josh to ICA, to show the immigration officer that this is Josh then the office will give the passport to me. Since we have out, we went to Indo embassy to do endorse maid's passport and collected the air ticket. So busy....We will be going to Jakarta to celebrate Chinese New Year. It is very boring to pass time during CNY in such a tiny island so we better fly off to Jakarta. Lucky maid has the chance to take free flight and stay at hotel. But as long as she can take care well of Josh, she is worth for that.

Josh Flips

Josh finally can flip. What a great milestone! At one midnite on 13 November 2008, he suddenly flipped very fast when he wanted to turn to left side to look for milk, like a rolling ball. He was exactly 4 months 3 weeks.

Der can flip on his 3 months 3 weeks. Every child is individual. I don't mean to compare, but come to think, Josh is behind Der 1 month. Both of them sprouted their first teeth at 4 months though.

Medela Freestyle

I am quite satisfied with my new breast pump Medela Freestyle.

I bought it directly from US since it is cheaper that way.

This is my best buy in this year. Whilst others buy new Ipod, SLR camera or other new tech things, I bought the newest technology of breast pump. Now I regret that I only purchased this pump now, I should have purchased it earlier when the exchange rate of USD was only 1.45. When I informed Sam about this, he said, it is still cheaper than you buy local. He really knows how to comfort me and never complain that I am a shopping queen.

Early Chrismast Gift for Derick

Yeah....since Mommy enjoys spree, Derick got the benefits. I bought Thomas & Friends Watch and Lunch Bag for him.

Der is quite happy with his new watch. He even couldn't sleep at that nite and wearing his new watch to his sweet dream.

Indo Mommies Gathering

Yesterday was public holiday (Deepavali). We have an Indo mommies gathering at Fidgets, Turf City.

Some photos to share. Der had a great time there. He was very tired and slept for 10 hours undisturbance sleep without aircon. Normally, he must on air con to sleep.

Der has been slotting in the ball into the hole for 2 hours. But he didn't get bored of it.

Josh @ 3rd & 4th month

Before I Went Back To Work....

I took this picture. This is my frozen stash. They are quite miserable, aren't they? I didn't pump diligently. I got time, I rest and surfed net.

1 pack = 5 small packs.

1 small packs = 100 ml

Total = 5 X 25 small packs X 100 ml = 12500 ml = 12.5 l.

I just gone to check my fridge, I haven't used much of my frozen stash despite I have rotated some of old stashes.

My office do not provide a nursing room. I only pump twice a day in the office. Once during lunch hour and once before leaving office. I had mastitis for twice at 2nd month and last week end of 3rd month.

So far, my clients are quite nice to me. They provide a room for me. One client even cover the window with paper and another client at Johor Bahru, Malaysia asked me to go to their server room.

Now, I try not to think too much. My supply was drop when I went JB. May be too stress since I have to transfer JB - Spore every day. Well, after my JB job finish, I asked for one day leave. Therefore, I have a long weekend, Friday - Tuesday, 4 days totally.

Two Apples

I chose "Two Apples" as the title of my new blog. The two apples that I am referring are Derick and Joshua. They are two apples in my eyes which means my two valuable precious sons in my eyes. I like to blog about my sons and hope that when they grown up as a teenager they can understand how valuable they are in their mother's eyes. I hope that they will become a good manner boys and contribute well in their society. I pray that they can struggle well while serving National Service ("NS").
